ExecSalaries

Corrections Policy

Every figure on ExecSalaries is extracted from a company's DEF 14A proxy statement filed with the SEC via EDGAR. Extraction is automated, and while we validate figures against plausibility checks (for example, flagging values that don't reconcile against the filing's Summary Compensation Table), mistakes can still happen — a misparsed row, a name mismatched to the wrong filing, a stale figure after a company issues a restated proxy.

How to Report an Error

If you find a figure that looks wrong, email privacy@execsalaries.com with the page URL and, if possible, a link to the underlying DEF 14A filing on SEC EDGAR. Include what you believe the correct figure should be and where in the filing it appears.

What Happens Next

We verify every reported error directly against the source SEC filing before making a change — we don't take a reader's word for it without checking the primary source ourselves. Confirmed errors are corrected in the underlying database, which flows through to the live page on the next data refresh. We don't silently edit figures after publication without being able to trace the change back to a specific filing.

What We Can't Fix

If a figure looks unexpected but matches what the company actually disclosed in its proxy filing, that's a reporting issue on the company's end, not a data error on ours — we report what was filed. We also don't remove or alter figures at the request of the executives or companies involved; all data comes from public filings and corrections are made only against that public record.
